In our drawing lesson we drew from still life observation of natural objects such as shells, wilted flowers, rocks and bones. We explored the objects form by studying the detail of the object from close observation and shape by looking at the object with a more 3 dimensional view rather than a 2D flat approach. I then developed my tonal skills by using different pencils mainly using a 3B to a 5b to add the different tones. Also understanding the techniques used in order to get the different surface's for example: pressing hard of soft, using the tip of the pencil or the side of the pencil and cross hatching or smudging.
This drawing is probably my strongest piece int his activity as I was able to achieve better tone on the shell as I was aware of its form and shape.
